Scenario Case XI. Sharing Office Documents and Communicating with Lync 2010

If you have Lync 2010 on your computer, you can reduce the hassle of sending a document via E-mail attachment. You may share your document, presentation, even your screen monitor, and discuss directly instead of via E-mail. The following steps will guide you on the steps of how to to do so.

i. Sending your PowerPoint Presentation via IM

a. Open PowerPoint to edit your document. Once you are done editing, go to [Review] tab -> [Share] group -> click on [Send by IM].

b. When the ‘Send File’ window appears, choose the recipient and click [OK].

c. When the recipient accepts the file, it will start transferring.

ii. Share your PowerPoint presentation

a. Open PowerPoint to edit your document. Once you are done editing, go to [Review] tab -> [Share] group -> click on [Share Now]

b. When ‘Share Now’ window appears, choose your recipient and click [OK].

c. You can then view the Lync window with a file you are sharing.

    I have pptx files in sharepoint. How do i start a presentation or share in lync a fule that is in sharepoint without downloading it locally.
